St. Patrick's Day Traditional Irish Session and Ceili

Make plans to enjoy traditional Irish music on St. Patrick's Day this year as the Historic Brookdale Lodge pulls out the stops for a festive celebration in the fireside lounge. Join us Sunday, March 17 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm for lively melodies in an intimate pub atmosphere, and there's room for dancing! San Francisco dance caller Michael Murphy calls the dances!

Ceili dances will be taught and are easy for most people to pick up. Set dancing is an advanced dance form that beginners will enjoy watching from the sidelines. All ages!

The Crooked Road Ceili Band is a Santa Cruz Mountains based acoustic outfit that plays Irish music for dancing. Founded nearly 20 years ago, the band features traditional instrumentation and is anchored by Julie Horner and David Chadwick and members of the Santa Cruz and San Francisco Bay Area Irish music scene.

This event rounds out the 24th annual Brookdale Bluegrass Festival, Friday, March 15 through Sunday morning, March 17. Come for the weekend to enjoy live bluegrass music, then spend Sunday afternoon and evening "decompressing" with lively jigs and reels!
